Il dimostratore di F-15 Silent Eagle (F-15SE), designato F-15E1, ha compiuto il primo volo della durata di un’ora e venti, partendo dall’aeroporto internazionale di Lambert St. Louis. Durante il test la baia armi, contenente un simulacro di AIM-120, designato Instrumented Test Vehicle (ITV), è stata aperta e poi chiusa. Il lancio effettivo del missile avverrà nelle prossime due settimane, dopo che l’aereo avrà raggiunto il poligono di esercitazione.
